Congressional Status
The bi-partisan American Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Act or "e-Drive" was introduced on December 16, 2009 as H.R. 4399 by Representative Jose Serrano (D-NY) and five original co-sponsors: Representatives Lee Terry (R-NE), Russ Carnahan (D-MO), Steve Israel (D-NY), Dan Maffei (D-NY), and Charles Gonzalez (D-TX).
The bill has been referred to five House sub-committees for consideration of provisions that fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned:
